Why Do my Clothes Pill?

Why Do my Clothes Pill?

Do you ever get those little fabric fluff-balls on your clothes and thought 🤬"WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN?!"
Well first-pilling is 100% normal and NOT a sign the garment is cheaply made. Simply put-pilling happens because the fabric or textile is treated to make it soft!
So lets think about your favorite pair of buttery leggings or that cozy sweater. In order to get them feel the way they do-textiles are often "brushed" in production. While this makes them feel extra soft it does break down the strength of the fiber....SO you'll often see the individual strands pull away or "pill" in high friction areas like inner thighs, armpits or where your purse strap may go.
🧐So now you may be thinking-"How do I fix it?"
Super easy easy to remove the pills is with a fabric or sweater shaver OR the razor your have in your shower. Slowly go over the affected area to remove the pills.
Other care tips is to wash your items on cold and avoid as much HEAT drying as possible (which can also break down fibers!)
Hope this helps and you keep loving on your super soft styles!!
